Donna Roed

Donna Roed

Donna has been a member of Noventis (Gimli) Credit Union for over 10 years.  She and her husband have always considered the Interlake to be an integral part of their lives and have actively participated in community groups, including the Gimli Yacht club.

Donna has a diverse education which includes training in insurance, market research and board governance - as well as a Master’s in Business Administration.  This is further complimented by many years of experience in the public and private business sectors, including positions in administration, bookkeeping and management. 

Over the years, Donna has also held various board positions with six separate entities, and currently holds the position of treasurer for the Interlake Women’s Resource Centre.

Nolan Sigvaldason

Nolan Sigvaldason

Nolan is a lifelong member of Noventis Credit union. He has served on the board since 2013, and currently holds a position on the governance committee. In the past, Nolan has served on the audit and compensation committees as well. He believes in holding the executive team accountable, and ensuring the credit union does only what is best for its members.

With increasing government regulations for financial institutions, Nolan feels it is important to make sure that Noventis has a younger director presence. This is integral to knowledge transfer over the years to come, as someone will need to ‘pass the torch’ on to the next generations of directors.

Nolan is currently a Roadway Construction Technician with Manitoba Infrastructure. Additionally, Nolan owns and operates Region Fine Art, an online art gallery and auction house.

Born and raised in Arborg, Nolan - along with his wife Melody and 2 daughters – currently lives in Fraserwood. Nolan is a strong supporter of the community, local business, agriculture, education and recreation.  His knowledge, ideas and ambitions will help Noventis Credit Union’s success and growth continue.

Bragi Simundsson

Bragi Simundson

Bragi has been a Credit Union member for 46 years, and has served as a Credit Union Director for 37 of those years. Bragi is an accredited credit union director and has served on a variety of Noventis’ board committees. Bragi currently holds the positions of vice-chair of the compensation committee, chair of Noventis Financial Ltd as well as President of Interlake Agencies Ltd.

Bragi’s goals are to provide to the members the significant benefits of the co-operative movement, and to support the credit union in achieving their mission and vision. Bragi has had various involvement in local, regional and provincial boards.

Bragi and Heather, along with their two adult children, operate a mixed farming operation in the Arborg area.

Betty Stabner

Beatrice (Betty) Stabner

Betty has been a Credit Union member since 1975.  She believes in community and displays her dedication by volunteering her time and efforts to many community groups, including (but not limited to) The Interlake Adult Learning Association, Living Independence for Elders, and Highway #6 Palliative Care.

Betty has a variety of training in administration,  the social sciences and health & safety. She has experience in both the private and public sectors, and brings with her extensive experience on other boards; she currently holds a position on the Lundar Community Resource Council.

Betty and her husband have been married for 42 years; they have two married sons and three grandchildren.
